The Durango Darlings Women's Ride and Motorcycle Show was held on the Saturday, September 3, during the Four Corners Motorcycle Rally.
Women gathered at Durango Harley-Davidson to register, visit the Maiden Moto Art Show, and attend the pre-ride meeting.
The group ride rolled out from the Dealership, up past Nighthorse Lake, into Wildcat Canyon, and back into Downtown Durango. The Hardly Angels, an all-women motorcycle drill team, led the group on this scenic cruise.
Upon returning to Downtown Durango, riders parked their bikes at 10th & Main Street to participate in the Bike Show presented by Maiden Moto Art Show.
The ladies enjoyed lunch and shopping downtown and returned to the stage for the Bike Show awards presentation. Awards included: Best Vintage, Sportster, Big Twin, Touring, Metric, and "GoGo's Longest Ride" presented to the woman who rode the furthest to get to the rally.
We look forward to seeing the Durango Darlings event grow each year as the number of female riders continues to increase.
Durango Darlings Rider, Megan Margeson, explained: “It’s not every day I get to ride with a group of women from all over the United States! The day started with a ride and ended in friendship. I look forward to reuniting with all the Durango Darlings again next year!”
